Part 1

It's early morning, November 27 1940 and Jackson Street Hospital in San Francisco delivers another baby child, Lee Jun Fan or Bruce Lee as the world will know him.
Born in the year of the dragon to parents of acting careers it doesn't take Bruce long to score his first role at an age of just 3 months.

Bruce's parents move back to Hong Kong where Bruce steadily develops his acting skills in many childhood role films.

But its not until he reaches 13 years old that he begins his real training in the martial arts under the famous Yip Man, the Wing Chun master.

His motivation and determination in learning do not sit well with other Wing Chun students, and eventually they kick him out on a technicality, you see Bruce's grandmother was partly German, so that means that Bruce was not fully Chinese. And with that Bruce was no longer allowed to train at the Wing Chun school.
Yip Man arranged for some senior students to assist Bruce in his studies out side of the school.

Many street fights followed as a way of testing theories and technique.
As well as Wing Chun training Bruce takes up Cha Cha classes and here he also excels, so much so that in just four years at age 18 he wins the Crown Colony Cha-Cha Championship,
as well as winning the 1958 Boxing Championships, defeating the reigning three year champion.

Bruce's parents decide to send him to the U.S.A after one to many street brawls lands him in trouble with the law, they hoped that a fresh start would give him a chance of a good life. As it turned out this was exactly what he needed, Bruce Lee took to study very seriously and not only did he compete high school, but also University in a major in philosophy.

To make ends meet Bruce decides to teach Chinese Kung fu to students of the university.
In 1963 he meets Linda Emery, there relationship grows and eventually they marry.
